Dave Lefebre – Cup and TTBC Bound

Bucks Skeeter Yamaha

LefebreBlogWe had a great time in Plattsburgh, NY as always. I finished 34th in the tournament and secured 11th place in the FLW Tour Major AOY Race. I’m glad it’s finally over because the stress to qualify for the Texas Bass Classic on Lake Conroe, TX has been a little overwhelming this season with my Arkansas train wreck. They only take the top 15 from both BASS and FLW so it is widely considered the World Championship of Bass fishing. The FLW side is now set, but I think the BASS side still has one event remaining to decide their AOY standings.

It is the 4th of July today and we don’t have any big plans really, just a little family get-together this afternoon and I’ll probably take the kids tubing out on the lake too. It’s been really hot here in Erie and is supposed to get up into the 90’s again today. Unfortunately, I need some hot weather in the next few weeks so I can prepare myself for the Forrest Wood Cup in August on Lake Lanier, near Atlanta, GA. I think we need to start having this darn championship up north somewhere, say like Champlain.

My Grandparents old house was demolished yesterday. It was a sad day for sure as we all have so many awesome memories in that house. But at the same time, we can’t wait to get going on our new house and start making new memories. They will begin pouring concrete on Thursday and should be framing by early next week…it’s finally go time! They say we’ll be in our new home in early October, just in time for the snow…hopefully.

I’ll talk to you next week, in the meantime join me on FaceBook, always something fun going on there, lol!
