Under the Lid presented by T-H Marine – Ott DeFoe’s Customized Tracker Aluminum

A couple of years ago, we ran an Under the Lid video with bass fishing wonder kid Ott DeFoe from Knoxville, Tenn. featuring his Nitro Tour Boat.  While the 29-year-old has used that Nitro / Mercury to become one of the most respected anglers on tour, he is a man who just loves to fish.

When he is not competing on the Bassmaster Elite Series, DeFoe likes to go fishing, and his favorite type is to run the shallow rivers near his home.  However, one just doesn’t launch a 21 foot fiberglass bass boat into those rivers.  He has accommodate by utilizing a Tracker aluminum boat with a jet drive Mercury outboard.  But, leave it to a professional bass angler to take things to a new level.

DeFoe has figured out how to customize the aluminum boat to fit his needs, an it includes custom tunnel hulls and major reconfigurations to make a skinny water aluminum boat have some of the same features of his bass boat.
