Ike Live Coming Feb 10

Bucks Falcon Mercury

Pittsgrove, NJ, January 27, 2014.  Professional bass angler Mike “Ike” Iaconelli debuts Ike Live!, a two-hour, live-streaming, Internet show at his website, www.MikeIaconelli.com, Monday, February 10th at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Iaconelli, an eight-time B.A.S.S. master champion known as Ike to most fishermen, plans an interesting mix of fishing advice, fan interaction and fun with such segments as:

  • The Casting Couch, where he interviews special guests and fellow anglers,
  • Fish Soup, where he and his guest critique fishing videos,
  • Off The Hook, where he offers fishing tips, and
  • Fish Heads, a call-in segment where he responds to fan questions and comments

In addition, he plans segments on Fishing Trivia, and discussions about tournament results, upcoming fishing events, news and hot topics.

Ed Bassmaster, comedian, prankster, and all-around goof ball, brings his lunacy to the set as Ike’s official first guest.  In addition, Pete Gluszek, past BASS champion and co-founder of the Bass University, joins Mike for a chat, and Mike’s sidekick and producer, Brian the Carpenter, helps keep things rolling.

“This live web cast is a great way for me to stay in touch with fans,” said Iaconelli.  “I get Twitter and Facebook posts every day asking for tips and advice, and it’s tough to try and answer them all.  With Ike Live!, I can answer some of them and talk to fans directly.  This kind of interaction is key and we can have a lot of fun doing it!”

Ike Live! is free and available to the public.  Viewers need no special software or application.  Log on to www.MikeIaconelli.com and click the Ike Live! menu tab to watch the live-streaming show.  Fans who miss the live show can view the video later on the website.  Viewers can take advantage of a special discount coupon for merchandise in the Ike Shop.

Iaconelli plans to live-stream a show each month, with dates varying around his tournament fishing schedule.  Join his fan club at www.mikeiaconelli.com/fanclub.php to receive updates.

People familiar with professional bass fishing recognize Iaconelli as the highly animated angler whose passion runs amuck when he catches a fish, stirring him to break-dance on his boat deck and shriek at ear-splitting volume.  While many decry his antics, he adds a vibrancy and excitement to the sport, and he is the most popular fisherman today among younger fishermen. This same polarizing energy will be rampant throughout the new show.
