Shimano Cast-Flip-Pitch at Classic Take-off

Bucks Skeeter Yamaha

GROVE, Okla. – Takes place February 22-24 — Planning on attending the Bassmaster Classic morning blast-offs or afternoon activities this coming weekend? Along with watching the pro anglers getting ready for their day on Grand Lake, be sure to check out the Shimano ‘Cast-Flip-Pitch Challenge’ taking place near the Wolf Creek Park launch ramp starting at 7am each day.

All fans attending can test their casting skills – and their boat handling skills – and enjoy some fun, competitive action while trying out a new G.Loomis GLX rod matched with Shimano Chronarch reel. They’ll navigate the trolling motor on a Skeeter bass boat to four different locations, casting Jackall lures to targets at each location.

“We’ll be timing each contestant, so both casting ability and boat handling ability comes into play,” said Mark Mills with the Shimano ‘Dockside Demo’ crew. “The five fastest time each day – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – will win gear from Shimano, G.Loomis, PowerPro and Jackall.”

Along with the C-F-P Challenge, fans attending the Classic activities at the Grand Lake launch site will also have the opportunity to demo a wide assortment of Shimano reels and G.Loomis rods. “We’ll have everything rigged and ready, so if you want to try a Jackall Muscle Deep crankbait on a Calcutta D/GLX combo, we’ll get you set up,” Mills notes, “plus our crew is there to answer any questions on our tackle.”

All the Shimano brands – G.Loomis, PowerPro, Jackall – will have exhibits at the Classic Outdoor Expo in the Tulsa Convention Center.
