HomeblogsDave Lefebre – 3 in a Row equals Exhaustion I’m going on my third consecutive tournament in a row and I’m exhausted. Yesterday was the last day of practice for the Detroit River FLW Tour Open and after hundreds of miles of water and hundreds of dollars in gas, I finally found some fish, lol. It’s kind of tough here I think. I was expecting to crush them everywhere after watching the BASS Open a couple weeks ago, but I’m not finding it all that easy. Little ones are everywhere but those 4lbers are hard to come by. I found some big ones this afternoon, I just hope it doesn’t blow too hard and the fish stay put. I finished in 32nd at 1000 Island with all largemouth. It was a lot of fun catching them on a frog and skipping a jig under docks. I caught 50 plus fish each day and after being in 70th after day one I was happy to squeak out a check. I missed the first Ever Start Northern on Kerr Reservoir, but if I can now just top 10 at the Potomac River next month I should be able to make the top 40 in the AOY standings and qualify for the Ever Start Championship in Louisiana this November. I’ve been getting up super early for so many days in a row I couldn’t wait to sleep in today. I’ve got a radio interview in the morning and then I’ve got a lot of work to do in the boat before the registration meeting. Hopefully I can get to bed early tonight. See you on stage Thursday!
