HomeblogsJohn Murray – Desert Holiday Guiding I’ve been fishing a couple of tournaments; actually won one up in Roosevelt a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed catching some fish around here. We’ve been doing a lot of guide trips out at Lake Pleasant and Lake Bartlett. Staying busy with a lot of out-of-towners coming to enjoy the Arizona weather. We’ve had some beautiful weather for the last couple of weeks and probably remain the same for the next couple of months so I will be busy doing a lot of guiding. The last couple of days I have been out at Lake Saguaro with the FLW College Regionals. I was a camera boat – I got to follow some of the leaders around and watch them fish and attack the lake – it was fun! Just to see those young guys have energy and enthusiasm for their sport – and the way National Guard sets them up in those boats and they can fish for that kind of money is pretty impressive! So anyway, thanks; wish they would have had it when I was in college, but they will still have in sixteen to seventeen years when TJ gets to college – I think it’s a great program for them; I think it is very worthwhile for those guys. Anyway, I had a good time with that and now pretty much getting ready for Thanksgiving! Going on a big fishing trip down to Brazil in a couple of weeks, so that is what I have been doing. I’ve been getting shots; trying to get my Visa and packing stuff; getting pretty jacked up to go down there and catch some big Peacock Bass. So that is about it. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and I will talk with you later!
