WFN Announses New Season Premiers

DENVER, Colo. – March 28, 2013 – WFN: World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, presents five returning series with season premieres in April along with the network premiere of BassWestUSA TV coming April 1.

WFN: World Fishing Network is the home of the Skeeter Bass Champs , premiering Monday April 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET with coverage of the Texas Tournament Trail. On location for more than 30 Skeeter Bass Champs events, each episode highlight the trials, struggles and rewards that anglers tackle throughout a tournament.

Long-running Sport Fishing on the Fly (starts Tuesday, April 2 at 8 p.m. ET), hosted by Don Freschi, returns to WFN with episodes that include dry fly fishing for Arctic Char in Northern Quebec, hooking into some huge Steelhead on the Skeena and a couple trips to Roche Lake with fisheries biologist and regular guest, Brian Chan, who offers unique perspective of the sport.

Fly Nation brings even more fly fishing adventure than ever for Season 2, premiering Tuesday, April 2 at 9 p.m. ET.  This season, watch familiar Fly Nation hosts along with newcomers chase everything from monster northern pike, Atlantic salmon, steelhead, coho salmon, redfish, golden trout and even double digit bonefish!  Each episode chronicles a new adventure from a different location in North America and the Caribbean, Fly Nation captures the true passion of fly fishing in a TV show format unlike anything else.

Viewers can see and learn from renowned saltwater angler George Poveromo as he pursues a wide variety of marine game fish on George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing, returning to WFN on Sunday, April 7 at 8 p.m. ET. Share the cockpit with George as he films along the coastal U.S. and popular angling destinations abroad, teaching the viewer how to catch a wide variety of game fish, from exotic species like blue marlin and bonefish to regional favorites such as wahoo, tuna, redfish and more.

Kayak Fishing with Jim Sammons (new episodes beginning Sunday, April 7 at 9 p.m. ET) brings a fresh new style of fishing show that features jaw-dropping action in stunning locations. Every 30-minute episode follows Jim, recognized worldwide as a pioneer of big game kayak fishing, as he travels the world with his kayak while on the hunt for the biggest and most challenging game fish.

WFN adds BassWestUSA TV to its programming lineup beginning Monday, April 1 at 9 p.m. ET. BassWestUSA TV brings the hardcore bass angler on a journey that includes technique and amazing fisheries combined with the best products and personalities of the sport. Taken from the pages of BassWestUSA Magazine, the show travels to some of the great bass fishing destinations in the Western United States, including Lake Powell, Lake Fork Reservoir and Diamond Valley Lake.
