Mark Menendez – Sports Shows

Bucks Skeeter Yamaha

MenendezBlogI’m heading to the garage to get my oil changed and rotated my tires on the Tacklewarehouse.com Ford. I’ll be getting back to the swing of things. Packing a tackle box, spooling Seaguar line on Lew’s reels, and packing a Yamaha suitcase are my duties today. Sounds like I am heading to a tournament! It is show time!

I am so grateful to have my sponsors behind me this season. This season it is perhaps the most important season of my career. My sponsors have agreed to stick with me without me participating in the Elite Series! Their commitment to the Menendez family is the best compliment I have ever received! It also means that I have to be creative and find ways to gain them exposure. The first quarter of 2013, I will be working sport shows across the country. The first show of the season was this past weekend in Ft. Smith, AR. The Arkansas Tackle and Hunting Show was my destination. It was at the Phoenix Expo and Trade Center. I was be on hand to give seminars and work for Skeeter Boats. My last PAA event of the season was fished on the Arkansas River upstream of Ft. Smith at Muskogee, OK.

I have really been banging on the keyboard of the computer lately. Writing multiple articles for the various websites on the internet keeps my mind in the fishing game. Check my Facebook site for links leading you to the articles. We continue to battle cancer everyday. Donna’s battle with pacreatic cancer is our chief priority. She continues on her path with the tenacity of a bulldog! She receives daily radiation treatments and has continuous chemotherapy five days per week. Please follow her on Facebook at her page titled “Cancer: Battle Royale”. Last week marked the midpoint of her treatment! We are encouraging her each and every day! She is doing very well.

We had over four inches of rain fall over the weekend. My pond is at full pool for the first time in 18 months! I’m thrilled to see the water. The level came up over five feet! I am continually testing new products weekly. I am expecting a new project today. My bass are not big in my pond. It sure is a great stress relief to walk out in my front yard and catch a bass!

I hope the weather will let you catch a bass soon!
