HomeblogsDave Lefebre – Lake Lanier FWCup a Bummer The Cup was a real bummer for me, I’ve never lost so many big fish in a tournament in my life, but its over now and I’m ready to move on. The over-all tournament and Expo seemed to go very well, tons of fans packed the show and the weigh-ins, it was a busy week. It was announced that next year’s Cup will be held on the Red River in Shreveport, LA. I’m already looking forward to that one, something different; it will be a good one. I’m actually in a motel room in Clayton, NY getting ready to fish an Ever Start on the St. Lawrence River. I figured I might as well try to make the Ever Start Championship in November since there are no conflicts on my schedule for the rest of the year. The championship is on the Ouachita River in Louisiana, I was there quite a few years ago and I’m hoping I can qualify for it by fishing only 3 out of the 4 Northern Division. I only get one day to look around before this tournament starts on Thursday…I can’t wait to get out there, this is an amazing place for sure. My next FLW Tour event is next week on the Detroit River and Lake Erie. Practice for that begins on Sunday so it’s going to be a tight deal, especially if I make the cut here for Saturday. I miss my family already, I’m here alone and will meet up with them in Detroit in about a week! www.davelefebre.com
