For the fishing industry, July 13-15 might as well be Christmas; only, the yuletide holiday for us is in the desert of Las Vegas. I can picture it now, Fishing Santa would be wearing a pair of shirts and flip flops, and Mrs. Clause would be all dressed up in her summer best, a bathing suit and thon… wait a minute; that’s a little too out there. While Santa may not be making a trip to the desert for the American Sportfishing Association’s ICAST Show; the staff of Advanced Angler.com is on the way there, and we’ll be bringing you our own trademarked brand of coverage of the show – ICAST Raw 2011. Advanced Angler Managing Editor Dan O’Sullivan, Associate Editor Tom Leogrande and Staff Writers Jody Only and Steve Reed will be on hand to bring you as many videos, product description and photos as we can. ICAST Raw will feature the people and personalities who move the sport and the industry. We’ll interview the anglers, the lure designers, the marketing managers and the janitors if we need to in order to bring you the hot new digs from the Las Vegas Convention Center. After all; the show is about them, and the products they use to dominate on the water. In case you just can’t wait, in the past few weeks we’ve been bringing you sneak peeks at some of the items that we knew were going to be released at the show in our Product Spotlight pages and in our features. While we’ve tried to dig out as many preview items as possible, there are always those that surprise us, and we’ll do everything we can to show you as much of the show as possible.
