While many bass anglers fish the same lake each time they go out on the water, those that venture out to new bodies of water can find the whole process of getting to know a body of water for the first time can be very uncomfortable.

Two-time Bassmaster Elite Series winner Justin Lucas had to develop a way to quickly get acclimated to new bodies of water when he moved from Northern California to Guntersville, Ala. where he had to figure out how to put fish in the boat to make a living.

He developed a way of approaching a new lake, and he shared that with us at Sam Rayburn Reservoir at the recent COSTA Bass Fishing Media event.
