Cliff Crochet – A Break after a Whoopin’ at Dardanelle

Bucks Skeeter Yamaha

by Cliff Crochet

I’ve been trying to recover from a whoopin’ at Dardanelle where I finished 105th. That’s not really what I was looking for in that tournament.

But trying to get over that whoopin’ moving into a new house, so we’ve been working on the sheetrock, painting, and that kind of stuff. The house is kind of a small, older house and we’re just fixing it up some.

A Little Help for Dad

It’s kind of good that I’ve been busy because I don’t have a chance to dwell on the whoopin’ too much because I’m trying to get this house situated.

As I’m thinking about the rest of the season, I’m going to regroup to head north and make a final push to make the Classic. Even though I needed a break, I’m kinda looking forward to getting back on the water because all I’ve been doing is working on cleaning and painting.

The more I think about it, it will be nice to get back on the water and back to fishing.  I haven’t actually uncovered my boat since Dardanelle, and it’s all dirty and stuff. But, now that I’m getting the house cleaned up, I’m spending some time on my Skeeter / Yamaha too with my little man helping me too

After I get it cleaned up I’ll be ready to fish, and I look forward to getting back on the water.

I’ve tried to go a couple times around the house just to go fishing for fun before getting back on the water for work and trying to get back in the Classic, but I’ve been really busy getting the house ready for the family to move into.

It’s been fun and been aggravating messing with this house. But I’m enjoying it, I’m really enjoying having a home of our own; a nice home – at least what I would call nice…
