John Murray – Douglas

We just finished at Douglas Lake, the fourth Elite tournament.
It was kind of nice, we got a boat slip so I could just walk up to the camper and have lunch with Amy and TJ – it was sorta nice!

Anyway, Douglas is a beautiful lake; sorta tough fishing! Had some moments during practice, but overall it has been pretty tough!

It’s weird here, I’ve caught some really nice 17” and 18” smallmouth that you have to throw. You can only keep one smallmouth and it has to be 20” long so, I hope I don’t catch any of those in the tournament. If I do, I hope it is a big one!

There are a lot of fish in the lake, the tough part is figuring out what they want to bite; and I have not found that yet.

I tried everything, I even got some new River2Sea Bottom Walkers that I’m going to try, so, I am going to go out there and give those a try
