Mark Menendez – Phase Two Complete

Today marks a big day in my wife’s battle with cancer. She finished her regiment of radiation treatments! This completes phase two of her protocol. She will have a week off from doctors and needles as well. The rest she will get this week will be put to work next week as we move into the final phase of treatment. She will have three cycles of chemotherapy over the next three weeks and she will have completed treatment. I am very relieved to get to this point! She has marched one step at a time to get here. We are PROUD of you Donna!

Between trips to the Radiologist, I have been grinding articles out for websites and publications. It is great to have an outlet for me to focus on fishing. This keeps my mind in the game. I have come to enjoy the fishing from behind the keyboard. It is my hope to broaden angler’s fishing experiences from the years I have spent on the water.

Education has always been a focus in my life. I thrilled to report that I will be presenting the 4th annual “Bass Fishing Class” at the Western Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) on the Paducah, KY campus on February 12th. This class will take an in-depth look at seasonal patterns, water temperature, and other techniques. The class meets three weekly sessions from 6-8pm. The cost is $65. Students will receive a selection of Strike King Lures as well! To register, call 270-534-3335.

I will be heading out to the Lexington Boat Show in Lexington, KY. I will be appearing on the bass tank and in the Angler’s Outpost both on behalf of Skeeter Boats and Yamaha Outboards. This will be a thrill for me as it will be held in Rupp Arena! This will be the first time I will have the opportunity to grace the floors of the Kentucky Wildcats! Coach Rupp instructed me on the mechanics of how to shoot a jump shot almost 40 years ago! A thrill of a lifetime for any basketball fan or fisherman!
