Mark Menendez – Rupp Arena and TW VLOGS

It was so cool to be in Rupp Arena last weekend for Skeeter Boats in the Angler’s Outpost booth at the Lexington Boat Show. I can claim a very unique statistic among the Elite Anglers on tour that relates to other sports.

Legendary Kentucky Wildcat coach Adolf Rupp instructed me at an early age on the finer points of shooting a jump shot! I was only eight years old at the time. The history that surrounds the University of Kentucky could be felt everywhere in Rupp Arena! A true thrill for any basketball fan! The bass in the bass tub were biting so well that I had to pay attention during my seminars! I got to meet a couple of the bass first hand! My hooks were bent down and my Strike King Jerkbait still landed them!

This week finds me preparing to film for Tacklewarehouse. I will be doing a series of Vlogs on the Tacklewarehouse.com site. I will also be doing product videos for Strike King, Lew’s, and Seaguar as well. This is a large quantity of video work. It will all get started in the morning. We have a nice window of warm weather. I look to find a few Ky. Lake fish sliding shallow to warm up on a few ambush points looking for a meal!

This weekend I will be on the road at the grand opening of the new Gander Mountain Store in Opelika, AL. I’ll be in the store from 10am -2pm Saturday (Feb. 9th) and again on Sunday from 11am- 3pm (Feb 10th) on behalf of Strike King. Come on in and I‘ll show you the newest baits from Strike King such as the 10XD crankbait. This oversize crankbait is sure to make its mark this season. It already has a major win to its credit before it was released!

Between appearances finds me writing articles and taking care of my family. Donna continues to receive good reports from her treatments. The news from her doctors is very good. We are ready to get past the doctors and get in to the warm sun of spring. It will be here very soon!
